It's no wonder so many people feel "marketers are evil" when people are tricked into purchasing something they really didn't need... or they needed to buy something that should have come with the product or service they invested in.E.G. I can live with buying a monitor adapter for my laptop (how many people really need one?) but if I need to pay extra just to get some RAM into the thing I will tell everyone I know and anyone who will listen to me on Twitter, Facebook, listserves, etc. to stay the heck away. Bad press travels much faster than good press.
